here are 3 ideas I think will make people happy (atleast me)

1. How about a small flags next to a living person, representing the country in which he currently live in (or burried in).

2. Maps connection, how about finding a way to connect to google earth (I think its open source, not sure) and by pressing a button in GenoPro it will pop open google earth (web page and / or program, by users choice) and zoom into the address.

3. Geographical representation of the family tree, a big and detailed world map with dots representing the family (the color of the dots is like the color of the persons gender fill or a seperate color select).

that makes sense?

Beta 14 (coming soon) has a field for Longitude and Latitude. I have all the flags for each country... all I need is to take the time to write the code to display them

Google earth is an extension of Google maps http://maps.google.com/

as you might see on a page, you have a link "Link to this page", when you click it You'll get something like this http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=45.825540,15.946097&spn=0.014006,0.029232&t=k&hl=en
Where 45.825540,15.946097 represent longitude and latitude (45...N 15...E) and data after is zoom etc.

If someone's using Worldwind ...http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/ reference might be on it's location...

It should go something like worldwind://goto/world=Earth&lat=45.825540&lon=15.946097&alt=7807&dir=0.2&tilt=0.6

Try to use this program:
http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

With this program you can see your house in much higher resolution.

Only if you live in some parts US or maybe some other area covered with ortophoto like USGS... And you can always create a map/picture of your own and submit it as addition to program. Here you can see the list of such...

But in this program there is a add-on to see flags of a certain country... Norvegians even created a add-on that shows county's coats of arms ...

Cut/paste form the wordwind FAQ page
Which is better, Google Earth or World Wind?
It is easy to construct a set of criteria by which either one can be made to seem inferior, but the truth is that they are two very different products aimed at different audiences. Google Earth uses commercial satellite imagery, and thus has much more data (and more recent data) available to users than World Wind. On the other hand, Google Earth is lacking the Scientific Visualization Viewer capabilities of World Wind, and cannot be extended with user-authored add-ons.

Google gives away some commercial data (higher res) in hope you'll pay for it's Pro version, and worldwind is completely Open Source Project and thus free (for use and modification)!

BTW you might have to load USGS layers...
