Hi Dan,

Why aren't the places that you put into the programm there the next time you open your tree?
Is that on purpose?
Don't know if it's a bug, but if it's more of a wish than put this into the wishlist.

Kisss

Dear Irma,
All information should be preserved during a save/open operation. If this is not the case, please send me a sample file. I will investigate the problem.

Hai Dan,

I think it was a one time bug.
Now i open it again and again and there'll be no problems

Isn't that strange?

Let me know if it happens again. I need to reproduce the problem on my machine in order to fix the problem.

guys it's back again!!

Listen: if you copy your .gno to another computer or just on a different path.
All your places will be gone.

All my work for nothing

Luckely i do have the older gno on backup so maybe u can think of a way to copy the places from the old one to my new one?
Something like an editor to "join" the two files.( through excel or txt or so?)

I think you are confusing the "places" with "pictures". The places are always the same, regardless if you move/copy the .gno/.xml file to another computer. On the other hand, if you transfer your genealogy tree to a different computer, you have to make sure the pictures are on the new computer in the same folder/directory structure. GenoPro Beta 12g has a tool to more/rename files/pictures (it's in the Tools menu).

Hi Guys,

Nope i really mean places!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just try it on a computer to move/copy your gno and you'll see what i mean.
Luckely i had the archive info standing under comments so i'll be able to fill in lot of the blanks, but unfortunatly not all.

Bye en kissss from the new auntie (got nephew around 3.55 this morning) :P

Congratulations to your new status.

Have tried to copy/move one of my gno files to another location, but nothing was lost.
Could it be that you have moved/copied the v1x file from one location to another and opened this file? Because then not only your places are gone, but also other information.

Hope you will find your problems, but by just moving/copying nothing is lost.

What i did was:

I opened my old gno and saved it to another place on my computer.
So that would mean that i got a new v1x file at that place.
I only open that file if i want to make a report for the internet.
But before i did that i opened my gno file and wanted to add some records.
That when i noticed all my places were gone.
