Sometimes the X disappears from the Gender Fill area. The X ends can still be seen outside the Gender Symbol. I can replicate this by:

1. Changing the Gender Symbol color to Light Green or Yellow (it comes back if you select AUTO or BLACK.

2. Changing back to NEVER DISPLAY A MEDICAL SYMBOL from CARRIER or AFFECTED. (it comes back if you first change to UNSPECIFIED/DONTKNOW and then to NEVER DISPLAY A MEDICAL SYMBOL.

This is by design. If you select a medical symbol or a fill color in a quadrant, the X is no longer present in the middle. If you zoom large enough, you will see the X is extended beyond the square.

You are right though, the X is not very visible. I have corrected this to make the X more visible when there is a fill color. The fix will be in the next beta.
