Just downloaded the Beta 12 version and tried following (not tried on the 12b version):
1) Under "edit > preferences" a dialog box opens with one field (no field name) and overlapping with "OK" buttom. Strange behavior. This field might have been used previously for the "font".
2) Selected the head of a family, then the children and then the partner, using the tool buttom and wanted to move in the genomap. The point connecting the twins could only be moved in vertical direction. When using the selecting "all" buttom, all went well.

Thanks for reporting this field. This field is an edit control I created for testing. This edit control does nothing. I removed it. It will be in the next beta.
2) I still want to improve the "Move to GenoMap". There are cases where individuals are selected, but the family object is not selected. As a result, the behavior is not friendly.
