I just added Jr. to the person's last name. However, that changed his last name within the database from John "Gray" to John "Gray Jr". If I search for "Gray" he will not show up.
Oh, another thing. How about someone named John Gray III. Does the Grand Father have to be alive at the time of birth of John Gray III for him to be a III? Or, does just the fact that His Grandfather and Father were both John Gray's, allow him to carry the III title?
Any guidance?
Thanks s

If you are using Genopro 2 there is no problem. On the Properties page there is a box just for this case. It is Name Suffix and the drop down list includes Jr. and III.
If you want to see this on the genogram you have to alter the Display Page. At the bottom left there is a name format and the lower box allows you to choose which items are displayed.
If this does not help, then the problem is because you are changing the surname, when reall you should change forename ie enter the name as John III Smith

I am using GenoPro 1.92b. When I try to upgrade, it tells me I have the most recent version.
However, you quote GenoPro 2. Are they the same?
If yes, how do I invoke the properties?
You also mention Genogram. Is the Genogram the sheet that has many boxes with connecting lines between relatives? If so, how do I invoke the Display? I clicked on Display on the Menu Bar yet could not determine how to change as you recommended.
Sorry to be a pest, but I am just no able to find my way around.

You are most probably using GenoPro 1.91b, which is the last version before the Beta versions were made available. You will find this version under http://www.genopro.com/beta/
It is advisable to read through the new features and the history of releases in order to avoid unneccessary questions
The Beta version has those features as mentioned by "appleshaw", who is using the Beta version. It is advisable for users to tell the version they are using, so no misunderstanding will occur. The new Beta version is under testing, but can be used already, like myself. It will take most probably another few months (GenoPro may correct this statement) befor the final Version 2.0 will be released. In the meantime just enjoy working with the Beta Version.
