1) How can a user be sure that after his "personal" translation(s) do(es) work, won't come a new version of the report generator and - in this case - he'll have to overlook the whole process again ?

The skins are packaged inside the executable GenoPro.exe, so there is no danger an upgrade overwrite your custom report skin. On the other hand, an upgrade may add or change some routines, so your skin may need minor modifications.
2) A high leveled documentation of "how to do it" (written by the software author) will be more than welcome.

We will have plenty of tutorials how to customize and translate skins. First, we must complete the code as we are "learning" as we go. I cannot teach something I never done or don't know how it will be done.
3) Why does a(n amateur) genealogist have to enter this whole "trouble" instead of receiving the translated version of the report generator (as a black box) from the software editor ?

In the future, multiple HTML reports will be packaged with GenoPro. The typical user will never have to do any translation. By default, GenoPro will detect which language to pick from the Control Panel, unless explicitly specified in the preferences.
