I have tried to update one of my web sites and receive the error message

HTTP Error 0

I can log on to the support site, send email and also update the file from another computer plugged into the same router. I have also tried to resend the Password from the Web Publishing page. This computer receives the same error message; the other computer connects and received an email confirming the password being used. Both using 2.16f.

I assume it is some change on this computer as I had to reinstall XP recently and have not tried to update files since. However this is the only internet problem I have had, so suggestions would be welcome

I've just made a publishing test at familytrees.genopro.com and it's working fine.

- Make sure your firewall is not blocking Internet access to GenoPro.
In the control panel (Windows Firewall) you can add GenoPro in the exception list of program.

The domain name used by the GenoPro is genopro.com or a sub-domain of genopro.com.

GenoPro do no need to open/forward any specific ports, all information is sent using the standard Internet port 80.

Thanks for the clue. I had disabled ZoneAlarm, so presumably the XP firewall had taken over. Restored ZoneAlarm, which asked if I wanted GenoPro to connect to the internet; I can now update.

You install the GenoPro program on your laptop and copy the .gno file that you created on your PC.

One way to transfer this file is to use the online backup which saves the file onto the GenoPro server and can then be retrieved. You will have to move pictures separately
