When I uploaded http://familytrees.genopro.com/poolzone/test2 and password protected it, I was asked for password brfore access. When I next logged on, the password protection was missing, so I edited and changed it back to password protected. When accessing I was not asked for a password, until I clicked on an individual in the index. When I again edited the password protection, it did not work at all, and I am unable to password protect this directory.

When I click on http://familytrees.genopro.com/poolzone/test2/, I am prompted a password.

Some pages may have been downloaded and added to your browser cache before you did set the password. This explain why some pages show without the password. Hit refresh and the password will be prompted again.

I look again and am prompted for a password. I am perplexed as I password protected this sample Yesterday, and was surprised to find that I was not prompted for a password when first accessing it Today. I think it may have been because of my interaction with the Control Panel. Thanks for checking.
