Reports generated from GenePro 2007 do not incorporate any of the picture notes.  Is there any way to recover this useful facility?  I am not sure when the change occurred - the notes used to be included.

In Config.xml, change the parameter fShowPictureDetails="Y". This, of course, assumes that you generate your report with the "Customized English Narrative Report" skin.

Anyway, in both cases, when you click the Pict name under the Pict, the Pict Note/comment can be revealed (or is already shown), in the popup pane, under the "Pict Additional Info".

To Genopro: I think it's a must to provide these parameters changes within Genopro. Some users don't have a clue about changing/configuring Config.xml. I believe it should be top of your "ToDo list".

Thank you.

Thank you for the helpful reply.  There seems no good reason for GenePro to have made the notes so hard to find however and I would therefore endorse your closing remark.  Thanks again.

Since my initial response, I have successfully amended Config.xml and the problem has been solved, so thanks again.  I am not a technical expert in any way but found it quite easy to make the amendment via Notepad by right-clicking on Config.xml in the Customized EN Nar Rep folder and then selecting Edit from the drop-down menu.

Yes, Edit or "Open With ... Notepad" do the trick. After all, an xml file is only a text file.

For those who do not know, I discovered a few days ago that Microsoft has now an "XML Notepad" file ready for everyone to download and install.

Like it or not, that's another question!
