Hello,

When i use the spanish names for places, i received the following message:

"Google Maps API was unable to geocode this place (Perú)."  If i use the name Peru, works fine.

In the case of Germany, it german name is recognized (Deutschland) but the spanish (Alemania) is not.

The root cause is solved in Google Earth, changing  in Tools, Options the language configuration to Spanish. This change allows the application to recognize english, german and spanish names.

It will be really helpfull if you could fix this bug.

Thanks,

Carlos

The GenoPro Narrative Report uses Google Maps API, which is not the same as Google Earth or Google Maps. It is possible to display the map controls in other languages such as Spanish by appending '&hl=es' to the Google Maps API Script URL. To achieve this with the Narrative Report append &hl=es to the GoogleMapsApiKey in Config.xml.

Unfortunately at present I do not know of a  method to get the Google Maps API Geocoder to accept place names in other than English or the country's own language.
