I and my wife have relatives and friends that would be very enthusiastic with this fabulous software but unfortunately they haven't acknowledgment of english language.

Do you intend to release this product in other languages ?

As Dan wrote in another topic: the multiligual interface is under development. The first version, which will be used for testing this interface as well, will be French.

No deadline known Smile

As soon as you need, I would like to volunteer to translate the interface from English to Brazilian Portuguese for free.

For the translation, we will supply a collaboration tool where the file Language.xml will be accessible by multiple users on the GenoPro server.  This way, someone could make a change (translation) and have this change instantly available to others.  We will have backups in case of an error or vandalism, however this collaboration tool will make it easy to translate and avoid redundant work.  Everyone contributing will have his/her name as a contributor.

When will this happen?
I registereda long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away....) and as I can see, nothing has changed relating languages: http://support.genopro.com/Topic8769-58-1.aspx
When will other languages be available in GenoPro?
GenoPro it's great software, but you cannot reach a lot of public for those translation problems.
I hope this gets resolved soon.
Thanks!

The translation of GenoPro is our next feature.  We are doing our best to structure ourselves to handle growth, support and respond to user requests.  We have corporate customers, hospitals and state department who contacted us to include GenoPro with their solutions.  Usually, it take months to get a reply, but those customers are really serious about integrating GenoPro with their solution because their customers wanted it.  They called me several times to talk about technical features and to get the ball rolling.

I also met with Monica McGoldrick to include GenoPro with her genogram textbook, as well as meeting with Harvard faculty members to supply software for medical textbooks.

I am doing my best to get back to programming and write the code for the multi-lingual version of GenoPro.

It is very easy to translate GenoPro using the tool Resource Hacker (www.angusj.com/resourcehacker). I have already translated in Italian language the previous version, but I prefer to translate this new with the xml file, in order not to repeat the job every new version. Is it possible to have the language.xml file?
Thanks, Paolo.

I prefer to translate this new with the xml file, in order not to repeat the job every new version.

This is the goal of having an .xml file.

Is it possible to have the language.xml file?

When ready.  By the way, I am in the process or hiring a full time developer for help.  There is just too much work to do and I am the bottleneck slowing down the project.

Hi Dan,

Not as full time, but  when you decide to start the translation of help into other languages, I offer as volunteer for the spanish translation.

Hello Adriano

Hi, that would be my question but for a Hungarian skin.
Or can somebody tell me how can I create a customized Hungarian skin on my own? Is it enough to translate the html files' language part?

Regards

Grisha

I am not quite sure how familiar you are with the report generator.
You have to create your own custom report, which can be done by clicking the bottom "New Skin" from the Report Generator Dialog Box. It will create a new folder (rename this folder to your liking) with all the files in it. The file dictionary.xml needs to be edited with Notepad or another editor and you can start translating the words and phrases in this file.
Try it, but as far as I know there are others who might have started already. Do some search on "Hungary" in this forum.
No need to translate htm/html pages.

Thanx for the guidance. I have already tried the search, with no result. I'll try the .xml file at home. My concern is the grammar, but I'll see.
