I would have liked to include some inserted diagram examples of what I mean - but could not figure out how to insert/paste any diagrams into this post - help on this would be appreciated.
However, my real difficulty with genpro - after only a few days usage - is how to change the diagram representation of a marriage & associated children from (and this is where I need the diagram) - the children hanging off the single horizontal marriage link ---- to one that shows the children attached with a vertical link to the horizontal marriage link between the parents.
My genpro chart created from a gedcom uses both diagram representations - any explanation of why this is would be appreciated.
Regards, Stewart

When you highlight the single marriage line, move your cursor over the blue square at the center of that line. The cursor will change to a vertical double ended arrow, pull down as far as you want.

The auto arrange in Genopro creates these two different styles. I think if there is more than one child you get the split line. One tip when importing a gedcom is that it will not be aligned to the grid - this can cause problems when you try to move people from one tree to another. Simple solution. Select all (Ctrl+A) and then press G To add a diagram you can not use Firefox or similar browser; must be Internet Explorer Then click on the icon as in this image
