Struggling with restructuring my deseign...an iframe works ...but......
Open in new window messes up the idea of it.
Now the script in the individual pages reload the default.htm and its frameset...

Great functionality ...but.... there is a but...

Frames do not work within the
's
So yours truly thought of being smart and using iframes instead.....

there is houwer 4 and not 3 frames in the design....
1) header
2) TOC
3) description page
4) popup

now the popup frame seems to be hidden normALLY untill tree or timeline or googlemap is clicked....

Any way of doing this in/with an iframe

gRRRRRR

trying to get the googlemap/tree frame also known ase popup...to work as a POPUP iframe

That would resolve all my layout issues

(Personally is think that if you have to work with frames iframes are the lesser of two evils anyway) and these popup iframes are the bees knees ...neat and tidy)

Just for my understanding, this new thread has anything to do with http://support.genopro.com/Topic20346-90-1.aspx, hat you have opened before?

Yes and no.

Same issue, but now have figured an "easy" way around it in theory.

Basically all I wouold require is the use of iframes and a popup iframe as on http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex8/dhtmlwindow.htm  for the gmaps etc instead of nested framesets and a resizing frrame.

I do not think I would be the only user that wants to stop vieuwers breaking out of the frameset. But do a bit of own desgn around the fast, basic not over the top layout from genopro.

For someone familiar with the script.js it would be very easypossible to see where I go wrong.

However I mirroreed the post for two reasons.
1) I got timeouts opening that thread so I presumed it corrupted
2) Wishlist...an updated iframe based default.htm would enable people to change the layout without touching the rest of the code . (Dreamweaver would alow anyone to drag an dropt them around and to have the header act as footer and the menu appear on the right etc
