I have downloaded a report to my personal web site space and all looks good except the photos are not shown, just a frame with a red cross. However when you click inside the frame the full size photo appears in a separate frame. Is there a way to get the photos in the smaller boxes to appear (thumbnails?). Perhaps a setting somewhere? If you generate a Narrative Report with the default settings then the 'thumbnails', or smaller images should appear OK. To get true thumbnails, then the open source Inkscape application should be installed on your PC, otherwise an image of the original picture is displayed, resized by the browser. If you require further assistance with this issue then we need little more information to go on, such as the version of GenoPro you are using, whether or not you are using a custom skin and the biggest help of all, the URL to your web space so that we can see what you are talking about.

Thanks for that. I'm using the default skin and my version of GenPro is 2.0.1.6. I have set up a test web page to show the problem. See www.nsbrighton.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Photo Test. That's 'Photo Test' on the end. Hope that helps. Neil

Neil, you have no folder for thumbnails.
look at

This one might be down to me rather than Neil. If IrfanView is not installed then the script still seems to assume that thumbnails are created and sets up the links in the pages accordingly, even though a message is displayed during generation that thumbnails will not be created. This occurs even when 'Create Thumbnails' is set to 'No'. This is not what was intended and I need to fix this quickly. In the meantime the only quick fix is to install IrfanView (it's an excellent tool and free!) so that thumbnails are always created.

Sorry Neil, seems you found a 'bug'.
That's what the Forum is for, locating and fixing bugs and improving the functionality of the software. Looks like Ron has another job to do

Thanks very much for your help - installing Irfanview generated the thumbnails. Good luck with the bug fix! Neil

Must have lost more grey matter than I previously thought as I believed I had already posted a bug fix here a day or so back! Must have forgotten to hit 'Post Reply'. Anyway, here it is again. The attached update to the Narrative Report skin should fix the thumbnail issue. If IrfanView is not found then now by default the 'Use Thumbnails' option is also disabled along with the 'Create Thumbnails' one. The two options are there to maintain some backwards compatibility allowing manual creation of thumbnails if required. To use the attached skin, unzip into a folder below your GenoPro custom skins folder (see Tools/Generate Report, Options tab) and then select from the Generate Report drop down list of available reports.

Ron, A quick correction: In Config.xml, line 212, you added '-->' at the end of the Rev comment (<FmtNoDrawingObjects> but forgot to remove the same at the end of the line. JC

The other way around actually JC. The message is no longer used and so the 1st --> should be removed making the entire line a comment. I have now updated the earlier post with this correction.
