I want to hide "Comments" in Descendent Report. "Ammend Configuration Settings" permits "Hide part of comment following this character". Firstly, I don't have the designated "Section-Sign" symbol on my keyboard; can it be changed to a different symbol without complex programming literacy? Secondly, is there a simpler, one step, exclusion of all "Comments" without now having to go back and insert a symbol in 3000 individual profiles?

When I investigated this I found the the code was there to supress all comment fields but no Config Param to request it. Also the private comment facility did not work! I have now put both of these issues right in the Lastest English Descendant Report. You can now specify any character as the private comment marker. As an aside, you can generate the § character by holding down Alt and typing 0167 oin the numeric keypad. You can also find it and other non-keyboard characters in the Windows Character Map. (Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Character Map) Another point that you may not be aware of is that you can preset any Config Param in your .gno file to avoid using the Config Params dialog each time. Just create a Document custom tag using Tools/Tag Editor with the same name (see Config.xml for names) e.g. HideNotes abd set it to Y in the Document Properties dialog.

Ron, thanks for dealing with the problem. But I'm not being able to generate the "New English Descendant Report". I followed the download instructions, but get the following error message: Opening configuration file Config.xml for skin '\Latest English Descendant Report\* (Descendants Report)'... Loading Dictionary.xml... [0.00] Processing template 'Main.js'... Error at line 309, position 4 (Code/GenoProParser.js): Object doesn't support this property or method Microsoft JScript runtime error 800A01B6 Any ideas? Thanks, Don

The error is not surprising as you appear to be using a rather out of date version of GenoPro (2.0.0.3). Please download and install the latest version of GenoPro 2.0.1.6 from www.genopro.com

Thanks, Ron. Was using 2.0.1.4. Upgraded to 2.0.1.6. All in order.
