Depends a bit on which version of software you use. However search this forum using the words apple and also mac to see other people's experience.

I can't get GenoPro to run on my Mac (which is running Lion version 10.7.5) but a number of people at my school have no problem and say they arent using a crossover software. Have there been any developments that would help me run GenoPro on a Mac? The existing forum dialogues are old. thanks

Here are some options.
Partition your hard drive and find an old copy of XP and install it
or install XP using VirtualBox. https://www.virtualbox.org/
or use Wine http://www.winehq.org/
