Why does the report carry the full path of the pictures? I am trying to upload a report to my server but cannot get the pictures because the system has generated the full path pointing back to my local drive.
The picture form indicates that the full path may be ignored but that is not what happens.

Maybe you selected the "preserve full path" option when specifying the picture?

You can check this setting either in the picture details (under the browse button and also in the list) or in the picture table view (table layout / pictures).

Also ensure that you have not accidently ticked the 'Link to all files from my computer' check box under the Options tab of the Generate Report dialogue.

No, I didn't click "preserve full path". I have tried everycombination but still cannot get it to work.
When I look at the tech details of the picture it does not have the full path but when I can get it to work it shows the full path.
I notice that the test tree Harry Potter has some of the pictures assigned to a "http" file , I don't know is this is a requirement or not. The documentation does not give any specifics.

Thank you for ypur reply

It is certainly NOT a requirement to have picture files for a report originally located via a 'http://' path. If your web report is linking back to your original picture path (i.e. the one you used when added the picture to GenoPro) then it is because the Option to 'Link to all files from my computer' has been set. The 'Preserve full path' setting is a 'red herring' i.e. a digression. If 'Link to all files from my computer' is not set then the Report Generator will copy all referenced pictures to the pictures folder under the Report folder.

I did not try to assign my pictures to a "http", I only used this as an example of what was working in the sample file "Harry Potter". I used the report generator that is supplied when I purchased Genopro. I can't find any option that is mentioned in your reply.
I assume that the digression mentioned is a polite word for "it does not work as indicated" .
The way I am working this is to generate a report and then run it thru dreamweaver to add some entrance pages(userid and passwords) and then upload it to a server.
What do i have to do to get the pictures to work?
Thank you

I did find the option about linking files back to my computer. It appears to work when I run it in dreamweaver. I haven't uploaded it to my server yet.
