I have had genopro for some time and recently my Desktop computer was contaminated with some maware or Virus I cannot get into it to get at any of the files .Some time ago I believe I uploaded my tree to the Genopro server. How do I obtain a back up copy , I realise this might not be as up to date as the one I lost.    But I don't want to start from scratch again !.

Go to http://www.genopro.com/help/ftp-client/

You can also go to File on the top menu where there is an option 'Online Backup'. Click here and this will open a menu with a link to http://support.genopro.com/MyBackups/
Click here to open a table listing files on the server. Each file name is a hyperlink so clicking here will download the gno file. For saved images you would need to use the ftp client

Interesting.  I had a somewhat similar question but not entirely.  My situation is this:

When I ordered genro I ordered it from my very old (2004) laptop and so it was installed on it.  It's beginning to show serious signs of old age and I'm afraid it will fail me without warning.  I have a new laptop which I use 90% of the time but I cannot access my family tree.  Please advise asap.  Or will the same process you advised the other person work here?

What do you mean by I cannot access my family tree?  What error do you get?

If both laptops can connect to the internet then you can save your family tree from the old one using the online backup and then load them back to the new one.
Alternatively copy the files (eg use a USB memory stick) from the old one on to the new laptop.
If you have a dodgy machine it is vital that you make a secure back-up. Laptops also can go missing, so the GenoPro server is very valuable
