Curiosity got the better of me and I installed the latest "monica" version. Some nice new features but the purpose of the new Genogram pane has me completely intrigued. Is this to be also in the next official release of GenoPro or has it only been added for the Monica version?
I would hope that it has been created for this special version only as it really contains nothing but duplicated data, information which is redundant for most amateur genealogists (e.g. sexual orientation, transgender!) and no picture.

I agree with you this dialog has a lot of duplicate fields. The Genogram dialog is a window specialized for creating genograms. People creating genograms are mostly interested in the visual display of the "family tree" rather than the data. For instance, people creating genograms do not enter detail information about the birth, death, education, occupation, contact or pictures. Anything they enter is to be displayed on the genogram so it can be printed later.
This dialog is for those people, an attempt to have everything on a single dialog. In the next update, I will add an option in the Preferences dialog to have this dialog hidden. |

Thank you for clarifying that for me.
In the next update, I will add an option in the Preferences dialog to have this dialog hidden.
That's an excellent idea.
