control panel disappearance

I dont know if it is just me, but last night, having uploaded a tree onto Genopro, I searched in vain for the control panel that, when I searched the forum, was the page I needed in order to view and edit the tree.
After two hours or more my partner finally found an obscure thread that pointed to a completely different site...

http://collaboration.genopro.com/Account.aspx

where indeed my trees could be viewed and edited.

There doesnt seem to be anywhere on the main genopro pages that direct you to this place.

Where it should be, on the Genopro family tree site

http://familytrees.genopro.com/

after explaining how you create an online tree, there is a link where it says you can view and edit from the Control Panel in the Forum. And that is where the link takes you but there is no control panel on the forum page (that is where I spent most of my time searching in vain... or is it just me that doesnt have a control panel on that page?)

anyway, for anybody with the same problem, the link above takes you there...

The forum at http://support.genopro.com is provided by http://instantasp.co.uk/Products/InstantForum/ .  The problem of having the GenoPro control panel integrated with this forum is each time we want to upgrade our forum, we have to spend several days to merge the code, and often, we create new bugs, or break existing features.  In the future, we plan to have a comprehensive control panel at http://collaboration.genopro.com and also add windows within the application GenoPro so there is less need to visit http://collaboration.genopro.com .  For instance, I want to add an option in the report generator to hide or put a password on a report published at http://familytrees.genopro.com .  This way, there will be no need to visit the control panel and change the visibility of a publication.

Users would appreciate a link to http://collaboration.genopro.com/Account.aspx from the Menu bar in Genopro.

Just a link, so we do not have to type an obscure address into the address bar after a two hour search as Veganfiddler encountered.

As well as poolzone's suggestion, the link and details at the bottom of http://familytrees.genopro.com that veganfiddler found also need updating to stop users being led astray.

I too, couldn't find my trees, and after several days have found unrelated thread in the forum (?!) where I learned that there are 2 control panels in deed. And in another thread (this one) the reasons why is it. We really need for each control panel to have a link to another one until this issue is solved.

Your trees are under the section Online Publications

The problem of there being no link to the control panel seems to have been going on far too long.  I only found how to find my tree i by reading this forum posts.
Genopro needs to sort this - it is supposed to be easy to use but I for one don't find it so.

I think in an earlier posting, Dan said the forum is maintained by someone else. The Control Panel is part of the forum and so changes to access it are implemented by another programmer. Having said that, there is a 'direct' link to it, but still not very obvious. Go to your profile, and click the last icon (or tab if you prefer) which is labelled GenoPro
