While genomap SVG is always correct, sometimes lacking in PDF genomap photos (Linked image not found) and, at times, lacks even the genomap. This happens when the photos are large enough, or genomap is very large (more than 270 individuals). See, for example, for missing photos:
http://familytrees.genopro.com/vlepore/LEPORE/genomaps/genomap0.htm?x=-334,5,y=-234,5,highlight=false,toggle=SVG# http://familytrees.genopro.com/vlepore/LEPORE/genomaps/genomap16.htm?x=1276,5,y=-62,highlight=false,toggle=SVG#
See also, for example, for missing genomap PDF (genomap with 279 individuals): http://familytrees.genopro.com/vlepore/LEPORE/genomaps/genomap34.htm?x=2643,y=-34,5,highlight=false,toggle=SVG#
For now I'm trying to overcome the problem by reducing the size of the photos and of the genomap.
Thanks.

Hi Vittorino,I can open your PDF genogram (3rd example) successfully using the Foxit PDF Reader. It is 244.93 inches wide and certainly earlier version of the Adobe PDF Reader have problems opening PDFs more than 200 inches wide, I am not sure about the latest versions. I am aware of the problem with viewing pictures in PDFs. It works OK when loaded locally but images fail to display when loaded from a web server. Maybe the problem is that the links are relative and when the PDF gets downloaded to a temporary file for display the links are no longer valid. AS you no doubt know the PDFs are produced from SVG diagrams using Inkscape and may be it is a limitation of the conversion process. I will investigate further.

Hi! Thank you for the clarification. For genomap too large, the solution is easy: simply divide into two parts! Also for the pictures I think this is a problem of size of photos. I try to reduce them.

The freeware program Irfanview is quite good at re-sizing & cropping photos. You can process single images graphically, and if you have large quantity to do, it supports batch processing .
Genopro and Irfanview are two programs which I use regularly for several years now; they just work as they should.. no problems..........
