My apologies beforehand if this has already been addressed:

Re the display of someone's name:

In the Personal Properties window, I know that if I want to specify how to display a person's name, I go to Display: Name Format and select what I want. I want the first and middle name to display on the same line. But I can't get Genopro to do that reliably. If I tell it to display a person's name using two lines, it will sometimes put the middle name on the second line and sometimes put it on the first line. I can't figure out a way to tell Genopro to always put the middle name on the first line (that is, next to the first name), and reserve the second line for only the family name.

Is there a way to do that?

Thanks!!

In the display name, you may enter
(in uppercase letters) to force a line break. Of course, you have to do this for every name you wish to display. Next time we upgrade the file format, we will allow custom name formats, so you will be able to enter a format like this: %F
%M
%L, thus forcing each name to be on separate lines.

It used to be possible to force GenoPro to display names on the same line - see this post. However, these codes appear to no longer work.

Wow, I am fixing a bug and creating another one... On my machine, I can display a name on a single line, however I am sure I am missing something... Feel free to send me a sample .gno file and I will take a look at the issue.

Sorry for the panic - I seem to have a troublesome keyboard or some other input problem. I tried to enter the codes in MS Word and they didn't work there either! However, after a few tries they began working again. I could then enter them into GenoPro OK. I'll have to investigate further. Ermm
