Hello allI am not yet familiarized with this program but I can readily see that GenoPro is a versatile and powerful instrument with potentially many types of applications. I am doing DNA genealogy. Is there someone on this forum using GenePro to record Y-DNA and mt-DNA (or even autosomal DNA segments) ? Is there some way to program/define rules of transmission of certain DNA signatures or do we have to indicate transmission by defining each time a new dyadic relationship ? Merci d'avance pour vos réponses Jacques Beaugrand French Heritage DNA project www.frenchdna.org

I am curious how DNA genealogy can be done with GenoPro. Feel free to post documentation how it is done. A special dialog may be added to record DNA information.

I am using the RED square symbol ("drug abuse") to indicate that there is a DNA match - haven't worked out how to draw red lines yet though.........

I don't know if it's okay to recommend another program here. GenomeMatePro is designed specifically for comparing chromosomes and determining where the overlap is between DNA matches. Although I haven't tried yet, I would guess it's probably easier to find a way to note GenomeMatePro record numbers in GenoPro than to try to figure out a way to get that actual data in GenoPro in a visually useful format.
