Date of birth and date of death on separate lines

I note again that in version 2.5.3.7 and also in version 2.5.3.8, has come back an anomaly already appeared in version 2.5.2.6 and later corrected:
with the option "Display date of birth and date of death on separate lines":
if there are two dates, all is well; if there is only the date of birth, shows the day and month on the first line and year  on the second line.

This is not a big problem, but would be better if the dates were always displayed on one line.

thanks

This is so strange.  I cannot reproduce this on my computer.  All the dates show nicely on two lines.

I tried entering the values you used and GenoPro displays the dates fine.

What font are you using?
By vlepore - Thursday, February 10, 2011
I tried it with arial, comic sans sm, calibriverdana.
the result does not change.

I also tried to change the language. The change came with the installation of version 2.5.3.7

Is also strange that no one else has reported this anomaly.

Operating System: Windows 7.

Feel free to send me your GenoPro file and I will try it on my Windows 7 machine.  To send a file to me, use the File Send dialog and enter "GenoPro" in the to line.

The same happens on my PC - using Vista and Arial Unicode MS font.
By vlepore - Friday, February 11, 2011
the problem can not be derived from the font.

I then reinstalled version 2.5.3.6, and all the dates appear to be correct:

I upgraded to version 2.5.3.8 GenoPro and the dates appear Incorrect again:

Mystery!

We hope for an enlightenment!

I have the same problem. I have sent you a small sample file through the File Send function.

Thank you for sending your .gno file Anna.  With your file, I see the dates on two lines.  I will investigate this issue this week.

Hello...FYI....I just upgraded to 2.5.3.8 and this problem has happened to me as well.  This is the first time I've ever seen it....and it really messes up my charts.

Please let me know ....ASAP when there will be a fix, otherwise I'll have to back out this version until this is fixed  !!!!

Hello.

I am also seeing this issue. Running version 2.5.3.8. I was running another version until my laptop crashed recently and I had to re-install. I'm not sure which version I was running but I know that it didn't have this issue. If there's any update on this, I would apprecaite any response.

I'm seeing the same problem with dates in French. I'm also hoping for a resolution.

I fixed this bug.  It will be in version 2.5.3.9.  Sorry, there are a lot of little things in this version.  Also, since we sent our newsletter to our 750,000 subscribers, we got an unusual volume of emails and calls.

Hi.

In my GenoMaps…

I want to display (dd-mmm-yyyy) for Birth and Death on 2 separate lines – This is OK.

but

When displaying only a birth (not dead yet) it displays as dd-mmm-thenyyyyon 2 separate lines – I wish this to be on one line only.

I think that this used to be this way some versions ago. I’m using Ver 2.5.3.8 on a Windows 7 (Pro) machine.

Your help would be appreciated.

Could you tell me the possible release date for ver 2.5.3.9 .....

If it's within the next month or so, I'll wait.  Otherwise I'd like to backout to the previous version since my charts don't look right and I have far too many of them

to start making changes.   So, please advise us when we can expect to see this new version where this bug will be fixed.

Thanks....Concerned

I should have released this version this week.  One bug fix here, another fix there and the whole week went by.  So far, version 2.5.3.9 has about a dozen fixes.  Sorry to make you wait.  I will try to make an update in the next few days and postpone the other fixes for 2.5.4.0

Excellent....  I'll look forward to this fix....ASAP....  MANY THANKS for making it a priority !

The fix is now available.  Sorry for the long delay... I wanted to include a few more things before releasing version 2.5.3.9, however I should have postponed those new things to release 2.5.3.9 earlier.  My apologies.

I have version 2.5.3.9 and this bug is still there. Did you end up postponing the fix to 2.5.4.0? I'm a little lost in your updates about what is and isn't supposed to be fixed.

Thanks.

This bug should have been fixed (for good).  Please send me a sample .gno file and I will take a look at it and try to fix this pesky bug for good.

Also for me the problem is resolved with v. 2.5.3.9.

Thanks
