I've tried searching the forums for an answer, but could not find any threads that had an answer.
Let me ammend that - I found a coupel threads, but they were very old (from 2005/2006) and referenced possible "future" options in Version 2.0 or Beta versions.
I'm curious to know if it is possible yet to select two individuals in a single tree and use a Tool of some sort to find their relationship - ie: Cousin, Great Grandfather, Uncle, etc..
edit: I'm using version 2.5.3.7

I agree with you this would be very useful. Ron made a report template to display the relationship. Ideally, this should be done inside GenoPro with a tooltip when the mouse is hovering over two selected individuals.

P.Cooper, If you haven't found it already, the 'Kinship Calculator' report template is now built in to GenoPro! Select your two individuals and then run 'Generate Report' in the Tools menu and select 'Kinship Calculator' from the 'Report Skins' drop down list.

A small comment: you must run this report only on the current Genomap as Report Data Source. Selecting a different genomap or even leaving the default whole document as Report Data Source will result this error message: 0.14] Error: Two, and only two, individuals must be selected before running the Kinship Calculator. Hold down Shift key when clicking on 2nd individual.

Feri Had not used this recently. On the original version you could use people on different Genomaps, using the downloaded skin

You can use this relationship finder by selecting two(!) people regardless of their location(different genomap).

What did I do wrong? I know that to get the kinship calculator working you have to have only two people selected. I thought that I had used the option 'Clear selections in all GenoMaps' (on the top Edit Menu) but I suppose I either did not click correctly or managed to add a third selection.

Seems to work fine providing you use the tabs to switch between genomaps. If you use a hyperlink then you will deselect the 1st individual. Check by switching backwards and forwards between the two genomaps using tabs and confirm the selections are still there before running the report.

Spectacular! Thank you for pointing out where it was. I'm not sure I've ever used the report generator before ... A little "buried" for a tool that handy, but I'm not complaining At least we finally have the tool available!
