When viewing the properties of an individual on the genomap, I find the comments box on the 'general' tab too small. Would it be possible to add a button that opens the contents of the comments box for editing in a new resizable window?

You can, of course, put a large amount of information in the comment box, which will expand and add a scroll bar. Alternatively paste from elsewhere. However the extra edit window would be a nice touch

At the moment, GenoPro uses the built-in Windows control to edit text. Detaching a comment box from a dialog to a full text editor is quite a task. If you have a long comment to type, you may use a normal word processor and copy & paste it to GenoPro.

I think I put too much emphasis on 'editing' in my first message, the issue is really reading the comments back at some later stage. Normally my notes will have be written elsewhere, then when I import a gedcom they end up in the tiny comments box. Some individuals may have more than 100 lines of comments and it becomes tedious to keep using the scroll bar, also the short line length impacts readability.
I don't see that a full-blown editor is necessary, just a resizable window with the existing editbox anchored to all four sides would be sufficient. A control to change the font and font size would exceed my expectations!

I could add menu item Bigger Window in the context menu. This menu command could pop a resizable window displaying the same content as the small text box.
Do you have a suggestion for the name of the menu item when the user right-click in the comment box?

I agree with Norfolkian about the comment box size as well as other text boxes too. Even when scrolling to read in some of the text boxes (i.e. the "Text Quoted from Source / Citation" box on the Sources tab) it is really quite difficult to see a lot of text. I'm sure it's quite a big task, but would it make more sense to make the Individual Properties dialogs have the ability to minimize / maximize like a normal window does? Then perhaps the text boxes would grow in proportion to the dialog window.

I like the idea of right clicking and selecting an option to open the bigger window. Perhaps it could be called something like "View Full Screen" and it could be made available in other text boxes as rfiorille suggests. Ultimately, all I am looking for is more screen area for reading the comments, so being able to maximize the properties dialogs would be just as acceptable.
