Each time I open my family tree and work on it I willnormally add some photos, save and exit the software. When I come to work onthe program say a month or two later the photos are missing!!!

The culprit ME.

I'm a tidier andorganizer and from time to time move my camera photos and camcorder photos frommy hard drive to my 1TB external HD. This results in genopro not being able tofind my images etc.

I'm reluctant to setup a special folder to store my photos and scanned documents in. My solution, generatea report then use the .gno file which is created in the report as my core file. The report creates a number of folders one of which is an Image folder. What Imust do is each time I work on my Genopro software is to generate a reportbefore I exit the software, thus preserving my recently added photos.

Does this make sense and is there anything I could bemissing out on.

My father has the same thing.  This fall, I plan to write a module to search the drives for missing pictures, and using a timestamp, filesize and MD5, to automatically update the picture path to the new picture location.
