GEDCOM import problem

I used the May 1991 Family History System for exporting data in the PAF 2.1 format. These data can be read by the 1.91b version of GenoPro with the proper look of genealogical tree, however this version apparently was not able to display the places of birth, death etc, even if the information was contaned in the GEDCOM file. In this situation I tried to use the most recent version 2.5.4.1 of GenoPro, but to my surprise during importing the same data I got the "Unable to find object of class 'Individual' matching" error message for every record and as a consequence the "tree" was displayed as single line.
What can I do?

I do not know the program you started with, but does it have an option to use a later version of the PAF format. You should have no problem importing a gedcom in 5.5 format. Suggestions to try are
1 Export to PAF 5.5
2 If you can not do that then load into PAF5 and then export. (PAF is free of course)
3 Look in your  GenoPro import to see if the data has been converted into Custom tags. Either look in the log, or else the table (Ctrl+T)
If the data are in Custom tags then use the XML toolkit to convert them. You need this in any case if you have RESI tags for location, as GenoPro does not convert these to Contact/Occupancy. The toolkit is in the Report Generator as a skin

The FHS program is pretty old (1991) and has only the 2.0 and 2.1 PAF version possibilities.
Thus I used the PAF 5.2.18 version, as you suggested, to import and export my GEDCOM data and this helped.
Thanks a lot!
