1. DescendantTreeChart 2013.08.04 does not work with Narrative_2014.01.30 (and with Narrative_2013.12.27 too) - icon does not exist in the Report. 2. DescendantTreeChart 2013.08.04 with Narrative_2013.08.28 - icon exist and works but only if name is written latin symbols. If name is written by cyrillics - icon not linking to the chart. Link to the chart in the Report for english and russian names: EN file:///C:/Users/%D..../Desktop/39/descendants/DescendantTree.htm?tree=Black-Arcturus-ind00067.xml RU file:///C:/Users/%D..../Desktop/40/descendants/DescendantTree.htm?tree=ind00007.xml There is name file In folder 'descendants' - Ломоносов-Михаил Васильевич-ind00007.htm and Ломоносов-Михаил Васильевич-ind00007.xml. DescendantTreeChart 2013.08.04 by itself works with russian names without any problems.

Alex, just a note to say I have not overlooked this.
The icon accidently disappeared when I changed the script for the PDF output. I simply miscounted parameters in a format string when amending the name template. I have a fix for these problems and also to another issue found when testing but want to include some PDF images too before publishing a revised skin.

Hopefully version 2014.02.18 of Narrative Report & Descendant Tree Chart resolves these issues.

Thank you Ron! This works fine!Remark: Descendant Tree Chart - one of the main result in genealogies. I think would be fine if Descendant Tree Charts will be placed in the Narrative Report with Index frame (in the same way as Trees, Timelines and etc).

That's a very good suggestion regarding an index frame Alex. I'll get to work on that. 'Should' be straight-forward by basing on pictures or contacts toc.

I have a problem.
In the directory "descendants" are all files htm and xml required, and also the icon next to the names in the pages of the Narrative Report. Clicking on the icon, the link is right, but nothing happens and the DescendentsTree not appear. This is an example of the link: <a href='descendants/DescendantTree.htm?tree=ind78929.xml' target='popup'> <img src='images/descendants.gif' class='icon' alt='...' title='...' /></a>
The file DescendantTree.htm and files ind78929.xml, (and ind78929.htm ) are present in the directory "descendants"", but the frame " popup" is not opened and if it is already open, you will see only a gray background.
It seems to me that the file ind78929.xml is not executed.
What am I missing? Or is it a compatibility issue with IE11? thanks.

Ok Alex. Now I have discovered that me also works correctly in Internet. Instead it does not work on PC nor with IE, nor with Chrome. In particular, on Chrome, a message JS warns that you must access the pages via a Web server using an HTTP protocol and not a FILE protocol, or use a browser like Firefox. But for now I do not understand how to make it to work on PC. Thank you!

Vittorino, with Chrome there is an intensely irritating issue with its 'Same origin' security policy that causes the browser to consider that a local file in one folder is not of the 'same origin' as a file in another folder, even a child folder. Maybe IE 11 has same issue.
At the moment Mozilla Firefox does not have this restriction and can be used to view reports generated on the local PC. Another option is to install a 'personal' web server and then view the report via HTTP scheme rather than the FILE scheme. I have previously used mongoose web server but now prefer nginx instead. Alex, version 2014.02.28 has the Descendant Tree Chart index, also a fix for the missing Help SVG genomap.
