User Account Difficulties

Earlier today, I attempted to log in to investigate a couple of questions I had regarding the program... and it wouldn't accept my username and password. Then, when I tried to do a password reset, the email never made it to my account (either the inbox or the junk mail folder). I created a new account here using an alias of my existing email address (I'm on outlook.com, formerly hotmail.com), and I'm posting from the new account now. My old username is Jakk. I was wondering if GenoPro enforces periodic password changes, because it's the only thing that explains my issues with this. I've always used the same password, and it seems that every time I go for more than a month without logging in, my password doesn't work. I know I'm entering it correctly, and this still happens repeatedly. Any thoughts?

We don't enforce any password change; never.

We have issue from time to time with all Microsoft related email server. They sometimes decide to block our ip for while for no reason known to us (no issues with gmail or other ISP).

On the other hand, if you have multiple account and request old key from another email we can MERGE account; that can break the password. The code is created in a way that the latest password use is set as the current password.

There is no way for any of us to know your password. The database only have the hash of it... so we can only change it if you lost it.

Thanks for the information! I have a gmail account, but I rarely use it, mostly because I prefer the interface at outlook.com... but after hearing about the issues with the M$ mail servers, I'm tempted to change the address I use here... assuming that's possible.

You can add emails and managed your key there:

If both email are already existing account, they will have to be merge. Send me a private message with your 2 emails and I will do that for you.

Looks like the merge was flawless. Many thanks! Smile
