Hi

I wonder what might be the reason, that not all pictures are displayed, in my report, but only some of them.  Is there some setting that I've done wrong/neclegted?

Pictures are partially missing both from "locally" (in my own PC) and also in "familytrees.genoprod.com" produced "Narrative reports".

Only you can answer that Hehe

Are their paths correct i.e. Do the pictures display correctly from GenoPro? How do the pictures that appear correctly in the reports differ from those that are missing? Have you set any 'link' options under the Generate Report/Options tab?

Hello

Ok.  The system copies all 127 pictures, for this particular family, I've saved in GenoPro.Exe correctly into the target "Media" folder in my PC while generating Narrative Report.  I don't see any difference how the pictures are referenced in GenoPro.Exe?

Seems to be that whatever I select in "Options / Hyperlinks for Images and Attachments" doesn't seem to have any significance.  What selections you pick before generating Narrative Report?

Eg. I wonder why exactly the same picture shown for my father but not for me in Narrative Report.  I mean that in GeroPro.Exe I've linked the very same picture to my father and I and see the same picture for both persons but in Narrative Report only from my father but not from me?

I would normally only have 'link to all files from the web' checked, but if generating a report locally it doesn't really make any difference which are set. The first two options should not be set if generating a report to the web.

It does seem very strange that the same picture shows for one individual but not another.  Is there a blank space or X where the picture should be or is the picture just ignored as if it was not there?

Try checking for any error messages when the page is accessed. E.g. Open the report with the Google Chrome browser, navigate to a page with a missing picture and then press F12 to display the Developer Tools window and check for any error messages.

Hello
The pictures are just ignored, ie. no blank spaces or X.

In Chrome after pressing F12 I don't see any error but In Console -tab I see following text lines:
Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a frame with origin "null". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. script.js:41
Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a frame with origin "null". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. script.js:761
Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a frame with origin "null". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. script.js:41
Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a frame with origin "null". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. script.js:809
Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a frame with origin "null". Protocols, domains, and ports must match. script.js:41

Does these line have something to do with pictures?  BR, Jarmo

Those errors are down to Chrome's (overly) strict 'same origin' policy and prevents the report scripts working correctly with a local report (FILE:// scheme).  This is why a prompt is generated by the script when accessing a local report with Chrome).

Did you press F12 after accessing an individual's page with a missing photo?   To navigate there more easily access a web based report (e.g. familytrees)

Some further thoughts on this.

If the pictures are just being ignored it means that when GenoPeo.exe clones the .gno data for the report skin to use it is removing the pictures. This can only happen if you have some Privacy settings active, i.e Remove Living Individuals, Keep Names.

I noticed that when you posted a Report Log in your earlier topic you did indeed have some privacy settings set.

So perhaps my first answer was correct.

Is there some setting that I've done wrong/neglected?
Only you can answer that Hehe

Hi

I emptied "Remove All living individuals" and generated the report again and now the pictures are visible.
