Hello

I'm unable to update existing "familytrees.genopro.com/Taberman" report?  Now, us usual, I'm not able to find my way out of this dilemma, please help. I get following messages

"Page not found or moved

The page http://familytrees.genopro.com/jarmo.saksi@ifsworld.com/Taberman/default.htm you requested no longer exists because the author may have renamed or deleted his/her publication.

Our publications directory may also help you.

...and the report just does not get updated.    I have not moved / deleted this publication.  Br, Jarmo

Hello

Looked "Recent Posts" but I'm not sure what answer do you mean.

If I enter in "Destination folder for generated report" field the url you suggested  http://familytrees.genopro.com/Jarmo/Taberman/default.htm

I'll get error msg: "

Unable to create directory 'http://familytrees.genopro.com/Jarmo/Taberman/default.htm'.

Bad Path Name. The file path contains illegal characters

...or is there some other place where this url should be entered?  BR, Jarmo

If you click on link I provided you will see your existing report.

When generating a report, click Web Publishing button and  Enter Taberman as the Web Directory field  and Jarmo in the Login Username or Email

you will then see the correct value in URL equivalent to Web connection field.

Hi
Yes, I know that by clicking the link http://familytrees.genopro.com/Jarmo/Taberman/default.htm I am able to view my report BUT it is old (created "2014.11.22" !) and I haven't been able to
update this report since this date (when it was created first time).

Now I jurst did the following:
1. I did click "Web Publishing" button and
2. entered "Taberman" as the Web Directory field and
3. "Jarmo" in the "Login Username or Email" (previously I had my GenoPro -registered eMail address in this field) and
4. I got "genopro://Jarmo:XXXXXXX@familytrees.genopro.com/Taberman" into "Destination folder for generated report" field and
5. I run the "Narrative Report"

But still in  "http://familytrees.genopro.com/Jarmo/Taberman/default.htm" the report is not updated (I mean that changes made eg. today are not displayed in the created report?) and the
creation date is "2014.11.22".  I do something wrong but don't know what.  BR, Jarmo

"Page not found or moved
The page http://familytrees.genopro.com/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/default.htm you
requested no longer exists because the author may have renamed or deleted his/her
publication."
I saw same when updated my report last time (in 2014).
But not in logfile - on page Genopro.com as on a picture in message from Hemindra. (http://support.genopro.com/Topic34490.aspx).
The new report was created properly, but it is necessary to clear a cache.

Dear Alex

Where/what is this cache that need to be cleared, as you wrote in you kind reply, before updating is succesfull?  BR, Jarmo

Dear Alex

I selected "GenoPro.Exe / Tools / Refresh picture properties" and run this.  After this was done I regenerated my report for Taberman -family and now the new narrative report was updated to "familytrees.genopro.com".  Was it really so simple or is there another cache somewhere?  BR, Jarmo

Hi
Is it possible that it is not allowed to do more than one update / day, while after I earlier today managed ( after running "GenoPro.Exe / Tools / Refresh picture properties") to update my report.  After this successfull update I made a small change into my GNO and run:
1. "GenoPro.Exe / Tools / Refresh picture properties"
2. "generate narrative report" but "http://familytrees.genopro.com/Jarmo/Taberman/default.htm"
but the page was not updated?  Is there some other "Cache" than "GenoPro.Exe / Tools / Refresh picture properties" somewhere?

I also tried to get "DescendantTreeChart" be part of my "Narrative Report" and have therefore updated custom tag  "DescendantTreeChart" to "Y" for a one person and selected that particular person and run and run "Descendant_Tree 2014.03.11" but no update was done?  Perhaps the reason is the same as for Narrative report that does not get updated.

The 'cache' that Alex refers to is your browser's cache, holding copies of web pages for quick access.  This may need to be cleared. Use your browser's settings menu to do this.

Do make sure that you have not inadvertently set the 'Output Files' Resume Report box under the Options tab of the Generate Report dialogue.

This can cause problems such as pages not getting updated that you describe.  When creating a report on familytrees Genopro compares checksums of files before uploading and so the Resume Report should not be used.

Hi
Many thanks for advise.  I run:
1. deleted browsing history ("cache") in my PC's "IE / Tools / Delete Browsing history..."
2. made sure that I have not inadvertently set the 'Output Files' Resume Report box under the Options tab of the Generate Report dialogue
2. generated "Narrative report"
Heureka!  The system now displays the updated (updates done this morning in my ".gno" file) family Taberman's page included "DescendantTreeChart" for tagged person "Thomas Georgii Taberman" who is the oldest ancestor known of this family.

Wondeful!  You made my day, billion thanks to you Genome and Alex.  Have a nice weekend.  BR, Jarmo

I too have been surprised when have received such message ' Page not found or moved... renamed or deleted his/her publication '
I have checked up by means of GenoProFtpClient - all my files were on GenoPro family trees hosting!.. (?). Blink
