Report exported to my personal website.

I have a number of sources and citations (around 75) which now appear to point to a local folder on my computer rather than the url of my website which it used to do. I'm not sure how the change took place. However I would like to edit all of the sources/citations to add the url of my server to the existing folder and file name (which are correct).

for example I want to change all entries from:
./research-documents/xxxbirthcert.jpg
to
http://myserver/research-documents/xxxbirthcert.jpg

I feel there must be a way to do this without having to edit each entry from the Table Layout / Sources and citations list individually. I can find a "Find" option but not a find and replace one. There does not seem to be a similar query in the forum. Any help appreciated.

A recent revision of the Narrative Report skin changed the way he source URL is handled. If the URL refers to a local file (relative or absolute path) then the file is copied to the report folder. The idea behind this is to allow documents referenced from SourceCitation records to be accessed both locally from GenoPro and from the generated report.

If you generate the report directly to your web site then the Source URL target files or copied over and can be accessed from the report without further action. But if you generate to a local folder first and then copy the report to your website then perhaps the problem you report could arise.

If you want to pursue the Find & Replace approach then you can export your .gno to XML then use a text editor to perform the search and replace. Then reopen the edited XML file with GenoPro and save as a .gno again.

Thank you Ygenome - very clear. I am generating direct to my remote website but the sources and citations don't appear to be there at all i.e. not copied over. Now I understand what should happen I will run a few tests. Thank you for the edit-the-gno-file tip I can always fall back on that.
