...but I can't get the custom_tag fields to stay hidden in table view when I modify the columns. Everything else stays the way I set it up, but the custom_tag fields keep coming back. I don't use them for anything, and I hide them every time I have the table view open, and every time I reopen the table window after closing it, the custom_tag fields are back. Hopefully this will be fixed in the new version; looking forward to trying it out.

It is somewhat of a bug. The custom tags have been hardcoded to be appended as the last columns in the Table Layout.
GenoProX will serialize the column info (width, visible) using the identifier of the column rather than the index as in GenoPro 2016. This will enable the user (you) to hide a custom tag from the Table Layout.
