I bought a new computer and when I reinstalled GenPro into this new computer, the Registration Key did not work.  How do I get the software to recognize my Registration Key in my new computer?

Have you installed the correct version of GenoPro to match your registration key? I.e. is it GenoPro 2011 or GenoPro 2016.

I downloaded the 2016 version and it now works!  Thank you.

Hello,
I purchased GenoPro 2011 and have a registration key. My computer that contained the file is broken and the information is not retreivable. I now have a new computer and have downloaded the GenoPro 2011 with the registration key that I have, however my family tree and all the information that I had entered on it is not visible. How can I retrieve my family tree and all the work that I have entered?
Please advise.

To get going again you have completed the first step, re-install the program GenoPro. The next thing is to find data.
Depends what happened to your old machine but I am guessing a hard disc failure; sometimes it is possible to get data files off but not sure if this will be possible.
If you did not save the .gno file on to a different device, such as memory stick or use the online backup there is another possibility. Did you ever use the Report Generator and put a version on the web site, or anywhere?
Writing a report will normally include a copy of the data file
First rule of using a PC: it will fail so make backups of data - next time.
GenoPro does provide Online Backup (from the File menu) although you have just reminded me that I need to do so again.
