I wanted to create a genomap containing my close family and direct ancestors. The problem is my mom has an older sister, which then puts my father between the two and leaves no room for his ancestors. I'm curious to know how you solved that problem.I used to have a separate file for each grandparent to avoid the issue, but now I'd like to combine it into one file and have at least the closer family in the same map and then link to other maps for the extended family. Should I move my dad to the right of my mum? Should I move my aunt to the right of my mum? My dad has a younger sister, so then I guess I'd have to switch them as well. Should I make a copy of my dad to the right of my mum? Any other ideas? Note: I'd actually prefer not to move anyone around because then I can't ever use the autoarrange function, but I guess that's not possible. Thanks!

My preference would be to move your dad to the left of your aunt, if fact this is what it looks like WITH autoarrange

N.B. I f you cannot use auto arrange due to manual re-arrangement, you can always use partial auto arrange. Just select the people/families you want to auto arrange, right click and choose auto arrange selection or click the 'lightning strike' icon on the tool bar.
