can someone teach me how to divide a family tree while maintaining family ties? I carried out a research from 1600 to 1900 of the families of my country. now I have a single document in which many of the families intersect each other. my goal is to divide the various surnames without losing marital ties. unfortunately the attempts I made by myself did not go well .... I hope for your help. thanks!!

I had the same question, and poking around here is what I found: - Select the individuals you want to copy to a new genogram.
- Right click on the selected individuals.
- Select "Move to GenoMap" and select either an existing genogram or <New GenoMap>.
- Position the individuals where you want them in the new location and left click.
This does not remove the individuals from the original genogram but will create a new genogram for display/print purposes. Hope this helps.

You can first identify the individual and right click to get a menu. Select the option of "Move to Genomap" to get a list of genomaps already created and there is a last option of "Move family to this Genomap". Then all the individuals below the individual will be selected. Then repeat the process to select "Move to Genomap" and select the map or a new one. This will reduce the time spent on individual selection and lessen any mistake of non-selection. Otherwise the above answer is the procedure.
