I have been using this program almost since you released it (subsequently purchased the gold version when it came out. ) early on the html links on the family tree matched those generated by the report generator.  But in my versions at least they haven't worked for a long time.  I am currently using vers 3.1.0.0  The family tree properties for the individual show this

with this error message

but the actual generated html file is "Hemmings-ArchieWilliam-ind00021.htm" in the same folder path as above.  So, naturally it does not work.  Yes I could manually edit every individual to match the generated report but there are over a 1000 individuals to fix.  Did this happen in some version change in the past and I am stuck with this not working?

Also I could not see a mechanism for changing my old email address when I logged into the forum.   Otherwise, I have been very happy with your program over the years.

Not sure when or why it was changed but you can change the filenames used in the html report by editing the Config.xml file in {EN} Narrative Report folder

e.g.  lines 121-125
    <Report
                        For="Individuals"
                        LoopItemName="i"
                        OutputFile="{Name.LastOrLast2:25}-{Name.FirstAndMiddle:35}-{id}.htm"
                        Template="Code\individual.htm" />

change to
    <Report
                        For="Individuals"
                        LoopItemName="i"
                        OutputFile="{id}.htm"
                        Template="Code\individual.htm" />

Thanks for the quick response and good answers.

As I look at it I see I haven't created any new hyperlinks in the family tree for new additions I have added (grandchildren, nieces and nephews etc) in the last 10 years or so.  I had mistakenly thought that was automatic as well.  Your newer configuration of including the full name as well as index number in the html link is superior and now I am am not sure which way to go!?  :-)  Correct the old hyperlinks or create new ones for those I haven't done yet.

I will have to think about that but thanks again.
