Is there a way that I can automate registration of the computers in my lab for a class? The software was installed on the image before cloning, but is now asking for the registration key when anyone logs in. We are in an AD environment so we can do a policy push or a batch file or script.

Thanks!

You can store the registration key in the Windows Registry. Another option is our site license which does not require any registration key. The academic site license is a one-time payment of $395 USD and is good for all employees, professors, students, alumni, clients, guests and donors of your academic institution. They are welcome to install GenoPro at home for work, school and/or personal projects such as genealogy.

Can you advise WHERE in the registry the key should be stored?
We have a similar issue - have purchased academic licence, but cannot deploy the custom .exe provided.

So have to use the standard installer, and then add registration key?

How would we best do that?

GenoPro Registration Key is stored under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DanMorin.com\GenoPro\Registration\Key

e.g. from command prompt:

REG ADD HKCU\Software\DanMorin.com\GenoPro\Registration /v Key /d genopro-reg.key  /reg:32

where genopro-reg.key is your key
