I’m working oncustomizing the appearance of my GenoPro family trees and reports. I’d like toincorporate unique icons to represent various roles, events, or familyattributes. I recently discovered Syncfusion Metro Studio, a free tool thatprovides thousands of customizable icons. Has anyone usedcustom icons from Metro Studio in GenoPro? If so, could you share any tips orsteps on how to import and use them effectively?

I've also wanted to use Icons on my GenoMaps to quickly show certain occupations, who has had their DNA tested, etc.
I have found some other sites that offer free icons. (Syncfusion Metro Studio doesn't seem to be supported on Windows 11?) I have a few different concerns about starting this "project", including: - cluttering up the display too much;
- there's no way to "attach" the icon to an individual on the GenoMap so the icon moves if you reposition the individual;
- you need to create some sort of a custom Legend on each GenoMap so you'll remember what each icon means; and,
- you could add each (or a group of) icons to a different Layer so you can turn them on and off, or see a particular combination of icons
The only genealogy software I've seen that offers both built-in and the ability to add new custom icons is My Historian 7 (there may be others). From one YouTube video I've watched on this program, it can quickly get very cluttered if you add too many icons. I think that program offers a 30-day free trial ... maybe you want to try uploading a GEDCOM file, adding all the icons you are thinking of using, and seeing what the final result might look like? If it looks good, you might decide to try it in GenoPro? If not, you can kill the idea and save yourself a lot of effort?

I think using layers could be a great solution—being able to turn certain icon groups on and off would definitely help keep things organized.
