I can delete the display dates from the Table layout, but do not see any dialog to change them. Now I understand. This morning, my brother and I were looking at this post trying to reproduce the scenario.
The display date you are talking about is a custom field. GenoPro stores custom fields as plain text, so whatever in there has nothing to do with the dates entered in the dialog.

You can either edit the display date directly, it should be in the Custom tags somewhere, or turn them off by going to the top menus, Display, and then choosing one of the standard options. This may loose the information on the marriage line.
NB Ron's utility does not work on GenoPro post v.2.20, so you can not yet recreate the data if you delete it. It is better to edit what you have got

Thank you Appleshaw. You are correct. I appreciate your help. I have used Ron's utility some years ago now, to place the marriage date on the display line (something Genopro should do as a default). I should be able to delete the 'display date' entry from the table, and then the actual dates should be displayed correctly as with all other members. But that does not seem to fix it. The only way to again display dates is to enter them as a 'display date' in the table layout.UPDATE...Because it was hyperlinked, I had to make the change on the 'other' genomap. This allowed me to fix it. Thanks again appleshaw

You mention display date. Is this the custom tag generated by Ron's utility? If so this is displayed using the Custom tag option on the Display menu. It will not be altered if you change the entries in birth or date fields. However it can be edited in the table.
Suggest you look in the properties, either of this individual or the whole table to see if you can find the unusual entry

When I delete the display date I no longer have a display date, even though the dates are recorded. I would appreciate knowing where this field is updated from.

I have a member in my GNO file with display dates that differ from the actual birth/death dates. I do not know how this occurred nor how to correct it. I can delete the display dates from the Table layout, but do not see any dialog to change them.Is there a dialog from where the display dates are entered?
