Hi I am new to the software.

I have been handed a .ged file which is human readable.
I was just wondering where I can find a guide to how this file is structured.
Some of it I can work out.

You don't have a tool to convert it to XML per chance?
If you help me decode this file format, I'll write a converter to XML which you can have.

I'm new to the family tree game and apologise if I am covering old ground.

Thanks,
Steven
