On the original GenoPro display you can alter the size of the font of a label, which is a useful way of making it stand out. There is a box in the Label properties but can also be changed on screen by selecting the box and using Ctrl and +

It's not that I want to emphasize text in a label. Rather, I need to display the label text in a monospace type, and I prefer to keep the tree itself in proportional type.
So if I can't do that in GenoPro itself, I wonder if it's possible to export a metafile, then change the typeface of my text label within the metafile.
In this spirit: Does anyone know of a metafile editor that I could use to do such a thing?

Irfanview is not so good with large metafiles, the text gets a bit distorted. Photofiltre (French) does a slightly better job and is a fairly standard. Inkscape works with the svg graphic created by the report. I also obtained, through a magazine, a free copy of Canvas8 which imports emf files but this may be difficult to find.

Best results with converting Metafiles I could achieve with Metacon Ver. 1.0B1 to BMP, JPG, PNG and/or EMF/WMF. Nothing sophisticated. Border line and background (image/color) can be done.

You need a VECTOR graphic editor.
Many of the editors suggested convert the EMF file to a BITMAP (Irfanview for example).
Bitmaps are not suitable for what you intend.
Inkscape may do the job but I haven't had success with it.
Canvas8 looks good but expensive.
One simple way is to paste the EMF image into Word then edit the picture.
But it will be a long haul - each line of text must be edited individually.
I used to be able to use an old program TOP DRAW (similar to Coreldraw) to edit images copied to the clipboard from Genopro but the output format of Genopro keeps changing (The white opaque background beneath text is no longer retained in the clipboard image).
Here is an example of a PDF file created from TOP DRAW after pasting the Genomap copied from the clipboard in Genopro. All the text alterations and line colours were changed in Top Draw. Borders, images, gradient fills and other text added in Top Draw.

Inkscape may do the job but I haven't had success with it.
When working with Inkscape you have to use the SVG grafik created by the report generator. You can edit the grafik the way you like and export as PNG or print as PDF.
