I have done two genograms for school. Is it possible to import just the information on my relatives from one genogram to the other? If so, how do I do this? Thanks, Mary

Import both file in GenoPro.At any time you can select what you want and copy/paste information from a genogram to another.

Not quite sure what you want to do. If you have two separate files, probably the easiest way is 1 Open both files 2 Select all of one of them (Ctrl-A) 3 Copy and paste this file into GenoMap 2
You then have all data in one file. You can use the tools to select relatives and move them to the first GenoMap. However it might be better to keep them on separate displays but create a link.
If that does not do what you want, then describe it in more detail.

Sorry. What I want to do is take the information from one person such as education, marriages, etc. from one genogram and move it to the other genogram. I just do not want to have to go in and retype all of this info. Thanks, Mary

What are you looking for is option to MERGE files... So far it's not present...What you can do is to copy/past all individuals within same file and then re-attach individual with more data to the tree you wish to keep... Is it clear enough?

I just want to get clarification on this before I start doing a bunch of work and then have to start over again.A potential distant relative sent me his GED output with ~300 people in it. I imported it into Genopro, unravelled the spaghetti into about a dozen genomaps, and deleted all the redundant custom tags. Now I have "his" Genopro file and mine, and I want to take all his data and add it to mine to make one master file. What is the best way of doing that? Do I move one Genomap at a time? Do the links survive the copy paste or will I have to re-create them? Or do I make his ~dozen small genomaps into one big one, and then just copy and paste that over to mine, and then split it up again? Or is there some easier method to do this? Merge file? Append file?
