How do you handle hyphenated surnames?

Famous Writer Customers FamilyTrees.GenoPro.com GenoPro version: 3.1.0.1 Last Login: Sunday, April 12, 2026 Posts: 269, Visits: 1,783	This is the first time I've ran across this, and I'm wondering what is the best method to handle it. I have a woman born as Kathy Smith, so I enter Smith in the maiden surname field. She then gets married and becomes Kathy Smith-Jones, and I entered Smith-Jones in the second surname field. When I display the name, I get Kathy Smith (Smith-Jones). Is that an acceptable layout? or is there a more elegant solution?
