Having forgotten that external hyperlinks do not update individuals I hope that this suggestion does not contain any howlers. Just tested it and it seems to work.
In your second genomap create a new Family ie just the horizontal line. Select one parent in the first genomap and Move him/her to the other genomap and link as parent. Repeat for the other parent.
I think the only other thing needed is to select one of the family lines and open the properties menu and click on the Summary tab. In one case click the box labeled
'Make Label/Exclude from Report'. This will prevent the marriage being reported twice.
You will of course have to link other family members

I have done this many times within my family tree, so I am not sure why you are having a problem. I suggest you initially create the Family Line, and then join the two individuals to that line as parents. You should not be thrown back to the other Genomap unless you left-click on the individuals' names.Do not forget to ensure the duplicate Family Line has the 'Make Label / Exclude From Report' box checked in the Summary tab of the line's properties, otherwise the family will be reported twice in the Narrative Report.

I added B.gno to A.gno as a separate tab (ie. now in A.gno has to tabs - in the following I call them A- ja B tab). I was able to link person A1 to B tab with internal link and no duplicate works needs to be done. Fine! Now my challenge is to present woman A1 and her husband A2, both are in A-tab, also in B tab. When I try to connect these two people as husband & wife in B tab, the system always throws me to A tab (where they already are registered correctyly as a couple)? How can I do display these two persons as a couple also in B tab. BR, Jarmo

If you have 2 gno files with 2 identical persons in it and you want to link them via "external link" you have to write the path of the 2nd file and include following info after the slash like: path/filename.gno?id=indnnnnn into the field "External Hyperlink. This link will not update information from one file to another.
The other option is to use just one file with several genomaps and link persons via the hyperlink function. Info is then updated.

HelloMy genomaps are two different *.gno -files (both in its own folder, see my example A and B) and the system does not allow me to make an internal link between these two files. In internal link the options are (sorry for my translations): "link to current" , "another tab in the same genomap", "new genomap", "choose genomap". The obvious selection in this case would be "choose genomap" (the fourth option) BUT is allows only tab that are in the same *.gno -file (in my example genomap A) ie. it does not allow me to link to some other *.gno -file (in my example genomap B). So internal link is only possible within one *.gno -file. I guess that external link would be the solution but I dont get it working the way I would ie. avoid duplicating information. BR, Jarmo

Reading the second paragraph it reads as if when you set up external hyperlinks the data between the two files is kept in synch. This is not the case nor would I expect it to be so. I use this feature where I want to keep the data separate until I can reconcile differences. Only by using internal hyperlinks between Genomaps will a change to one update the other. It's also worth remembering that in the case of external hyperlinks you may need to set a reciprocal hyperlink so that if A takes you to B, B will take you back to A.

A simple way is to copy the individual from one file (ie separate genogram) and paste it into the other. Then delete that individual and recreate the links.
The disadvantage of this method is that if you update the original individual then this is not reflected in the second file. That is where the external hyperlink is better.
To get the external hyperlink working you need to open the master file and open the properties menu for that individual. There is a tag marked Hyperlink and the first line is for the external hyperlink. Click on the box marked Browse and from the File Menu select the second file. GenoPro does the rest, identifying the same individual in the second file and creating a link in the first one.
The only problem that can occur is if you have two people in the second file with the same name. In that case you will have to use the recommended procedure described on the Hyperlink menu and add the phrase '?id=ind9999' after the file name. Do not leave a space between the file name and this phrase and obviously delete the ' marks and substitute the correct id from the first file.
One other alternative is to combine the two files as two separate genomaps and use internal hyperlinks

1. I’ve got two genograms, “A” and “B”.
2. In genogram “A” I have a person “A1” with all data keyed in.
3. Person “A1” is also needed in genogram “B” and I wouldn’t like to key in his data second time (again, while it is already in “A”).
4. I don’t get this external link to work so that I could add this person “A1” also in genogram “B” with all data from “A” without keying them again in “B”?
How this external link should be done in order to achieve this?
