You could try the
auto arrange
which will sort things out a bit but it is not the best way.
If you have several branches on the display you could select someone near the root and then then select either ancestor
tree
, or direct ancestors. (Either right click and open the select menu or use the icon on the Navigation tool bar. This will select a branch of the
family
which you can then drag to the side, clear of any overlap. If you have a large number of
individuals
you might want to put a branch of the family onto a different

I'm new to this. I am trying to make a
family tree
starting with my
husband
's and my grandparents -- 8 in all -- and the various uncles, cousins, children, etc. that come from that. Naturally enough, lines become entangled. Is there a way to do this? Should the number of generations be limited? My granddaughter wanted to know how she is related to all these people. I don't think we are such an enormous family, but maybe I am too ambitious.
Any
help
would be appreciated. Thanks.
