Wow wow wow ... I'm glad I read this post. I faced the same problem a few weeks ago, but had to fix it one reference at a time.

1- You can not select rows. 2- The option "Consolidate Places" did not appear in the right-click menu. You need to select multiple rows for the Consolidate Places menu item to appear. To select multiple rows, hold down the shift key while selecting with the mouse or keyboard.

Is there a function in GenoPro to unify the Places that are only seemingly different? In the Table Layout, click on the Place Name to sort/group all the places by name. Select the places you want to consolidate, right-click and select Consolidate Places. You can see a screenshot from Consolidating Contact Records.

I built a large file .gno importing various files .ged in which the name of place of birth, death, marriage, etc .... was indicated in different ways, even though they the same city (Gemona, Gemona del Friuli, Gemona(Udine), Gemona(Italy) ...). Logically GenoPro has created different "Places" with different "ID".
In other records the names of places lacking.
Working on a table of places, I could make them formally equal, but not to unify.
(This is not possible in Form "Place Properties"
) Is there a function in GenoPro to unify the Places that are only seemingly different?
You can assign the same ID without having to change any single individual?
Or, you can work on entire columns or on multiple selections by “paste” as in MSExcel? thanks.
