An alternative approach is to append required text to Individual's 'Display Name' field and adjust number of display lines as required for best presentation. Not the same as annotating the adoption link but may be of use.

That's what I was afraid of. On the adoptions I have, one bioparent is known, and shown. So, there is a horizontal element to the link. I guess I'll just have to add the date as you suggested. Thanks.

You need to create a text label and write the adoption date. GenoPro does not draw any text next to the vertical pedigree link.

Hey all,
OK. So, I have an adoption that is all set up right, with birthmother, father, and adoptive father. But, the Adoption connect line is blank. I would very much like to add a date to it like you can with marriages and such, using the "Display Text" under "Family Properties". How can I do that?? Oh, and I would very much like it attached to the line (and individuals) like the marriage text so when I move things, it moves too. Or do I have to use a custom text object, and make sure I grab it too when I have to move things??
Anytime you can connect any two idividuals, you should be able to attach a "Display Text" label. Period. : : Thanks.
