See the discussion at importing from Excel.

The best way to export to Gedcom is to use the 'Export to Gedcom' report skin from the 'Generate Report...' option under the Tools menu.

Can I import family data into your program from an excel file? Do I need to edit the columns in my excel file to match the fields in genopro or can I customize genopro to accomodate the columns in my excel file?  Then once my data is in genopro, can I export it out in a GEDCOM format to other genealogy software?

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
